The Payment Process
Prior to transfer of a Domain, payment must be received and processed by our bank, and is due ten days after execution of the Purchase Agreement. Offers of stocks or installment payments will not be considered.
Payment may be made by delivery of a check, money order, or electronic transfer of funds in U.S. dollars. A wire transfer is the most expedient and popular method. Checks require one to two weeks to be processed. After payment is processed, we immediately execute the transfer documents as described in our 'Transferring' page.
To expedite the entire process further, payment may be made concurrently with the processing of the transfer documents and delivery of the Purchase Agreement, details of which will be provided upon request.
For businesses still weary of transactions with online businesses, we are happy to proceed through an escrow service of their choosing. Visit our 'Resources' page for suggested providers experienced in this market. Please realize that these services add a minimum of five weeks to the process and you should plan your site launch accordingly. The escrow fees shall be paid by the buyer and are typically $250 to $500 dependent on the purchase price. Such services involve the providers Purchase Agreements, so the ChoiceNames Agreement shall not be used or issued in this type of transaction.
We always keep customers fully apprised of the status of payment and all stages of progress throughout the processes.
